Southeastern senior biology major Bobby Tate Boehme earned third place honors in the Life Sciences Poster competition at the 28th Annual Oklahoma Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (OK-LSAMP) Research Symposium. The event was held recently at Oklahoma State University.
Boehme, who is from Atoka, is a OK-LSAMP scholar and has done his research under the mentorship of Dr. Ning Wu, professor of Biological Sciences Department and the campus manager of OK-LSAMP program. OK-LSAMP is a National Science Foundation-funded consortium of Oklahoma colleges and universities working together to develop programs aimed at increasing the number of students from under-represented populations who receive degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
