- Southeastern to host Safety Olympics on March 24
With continued poor travel conditions and cold temperatures, Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed through Friday, January 30, in the interest of health and safety of students, faculty, and staff. Essential services will be provided to residential students on campus, but other academic and business functions will be closed. Online and remote learning classes will proceed as scheduled. This closure applies to the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. Other satellite facilities will follow local guidance.
Four universities will be competing in the Safety Olympics on March 24.
Joining host Southeastern Oklahoma State University in the competition will be Pittsburg State University (Kansas), the University of Central Missouri, and Oklahoma State University.
Students in Occupation Safety & Health will compete in such events as accident investigation, hazard identification, training presentation, safety culture presentation, safety innovation presentation, and safety jeopardy.
All events will be held on the Southeastern campus.
