Southeastern alumna selected for state TRIO award

Erica Pogue, a Southeastern Oklahoma State University graduate, has been selected as the Oklahoma Division of Student Assistance (ODSA), state TRIO Achiever for 2023.

Pogue graduated with a bachelor’s in business administration in 2017 and a master’s in business administration in 2019, both from Southeastern.

The Federal TRIO Programs (TRIO) are federal outreach and student service programs designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Each year, a former TRIO participant is selected as the ODSA TRIO Achiever. This person embodies the TRIO spirit of excellence and achievement and must meet other criteria including having made a significant civic, community or professional attributions. 

Pogue participated in the TRIO Educational Opportunity Center Program while attending SE.

She was recently appointed as Executive Director of INCA Community Services in Atoka, Oklahoma which is a Community Action Agency serving southeastern Oklahoma.

Pogue will formally receive the award at the Walter O. Mason TRIO Achiever’s Luncheon on April 12 during the ODSA Conference in Tulsa.
