- Southeastern Golf Classic draws more than 200 players
With continued poor travel conditions and cold temperatures, Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed through Friday, January 30, in the interest of health and safety of students, faculty, and staff. Essential services will be provided to residential students on campus, but other academic and business functions will be closed. Online and remote learning classes will proceed as scheduled. This closure applies to the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. Other satellite facilities will follow local guidance.

Impact Reality was the overall winner as well as the winner of the morning flight.
More than 200 golfers on 36 teams competed in the Southeastern Golf Classic Friday at Chickasaw Pointe Golf Club.
The six-person scramble was created three years ago, when two of the best tournaments in the area were combined — the Presidential Golf Classic and the Gridiron Golf Classic – both benefiting Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
The morning flight was won by Impact Reality with a score of 50. The team was made up of Spencer Barnett, Brad Hixon, Dalton Nelson, Dallas Beeler, Kyle Wallace and Mike Torrence.

The afternoon flight was won by the Marco Marrow led team.
The afternoon flight was won with an equally impressive score of 51. The winning team was led by Marco Morrow and included Andrew Harroz, Sam Farha, Morgan Musallam and Patrick Prevo.
The top three teams in each flight received a prize package of Under Armour gear from BSN Sports.
The overall winner, and holder of the traveling trophy was Impact Reality.
Both of the flight winners, Impact Reality and Marco Morrow, sponsored two teams each in the scramble.
