October 20, 2023
DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State University has signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Taiwan University of Sport (NTUS) to cooperate and foster academic exchanges and collaboration.
A delegation from NTUS visited the Durant campus in October to meet with administration, faculty, staff, and students as the two universities continued discussions on implementation of the agreement.
As part of the agreement, SE and NTUS laid the groundwork to establish pathways to exchange students, faculty, and academic staff members; collaborate on staff development programs; exchange academic information and material of mutual interest; and organize joint research programs.
“This agreement between Southeastern and NTUS will be a mutually beneficial opportunity for faculty and students at both universities,” said Dr. Teresa Golden, vice president for academic affairs at Southeastern. “I look forward to seeing the study that will be pursued and the relationships that will be developed from this partnership.”
The agreement will span five years in its initial signing, with an opportunity to extend further upon mutual agreement by both universities.
Visiting Durant from NTUS were Mr. Chen-Kang Chang, Vice President and Professor, and Mr. Kuan-Chou Chen, Director of International Affairs and Assistant Professor.
