Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed on Tuesday, January 16, in the interest of health and safety of students, faculty, and staff. Essential services will be provided to residential students on campus, but other academic and business functions will be closed.
With extreme cold temperatures in Bryan County, heating systems in Southeastern’s residential and classroom buildings will be pushed to maximum capacity. This decision will allow resources to be focused on residential buildings and keep residential students safe and comfortable until the cold temperatures subside.
This decision applies to the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. Other satellite facilities will follow local guidance.
