MIDWEST CITY, Okla. – On March 27, Dr. Mike Friday from the Southeastern Aviation Sciences Institute and SE Tinker/Rose State outreach staff Lori Rupert and Lara Bernhardt attended the career fair presented by Oklahoma Aerospace Commerce Economic Services (ACES), a division of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce at the Rose State Student Union.
Employers hiring at the career fair include AeroCore X, The Boeing Company, Dow Aero, LLC, Northrop Grumman, Federal Aviation Administration Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, Delaware Resource Group, Infinite Composites, Inc., Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Career Tech, Asco Aerospace USA, LLC, AAR Aircraft Services, DuraCoatings, Tinker Air Force Base, Premium Aerospace Center, Frontier Electronics System, Computer System Designers and Field Aerospace.
The Southeastern delegation fielded inquiries about SE programs in Oklahoma City at the Tinker Air Force Base and Rose State College campus. Many of the table visitors were vocational students working on their sheet metal certification and Air Frame and Power Plant (A&P) licenses.
SE staff informed potential students of the university’s two-by-two agreement with Rose State College on transfer degrees to SE, as well as the ability to get college credit with their A&P licenses either at Rose State College or Southeastern.
