Southeastern to close for winter weather on Wednesday, February 19

Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed on Wednesday, February 19, in the interest of health and safety of students, faculty, and staff. Essential services will be provided to residential students on campus, but other academic and business functions will be closed.

Extreme cold temperatures will push heating systems in Southeastern’s residential and classroom buildings to maximum capacity. This decision will allow resources to be focused on residential buildings and keep residential students safe and comfortable, while also helping faculty and staff avoid hazardous travel conditions.

This decision applies to the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. Other satellite facilities will follow local guidance.
