- SEsports to host Great American Conference Championships this Saturday
The eSports program at Southeastern Oklahoma State University – SEsports – will host the Great American Conference Championships this Saturday, April 26, in the SESports Arena in the Glen D. Johnson Student Center.
Championships will be contested in three games – Rocket League, Super Smash Brothers, and Overwatch.
Teams representing 10 of the 12 GAC’s core member institutions will be participating in the event – Southeastern, Arkansas-Monticello, Arkansas Tech, East Central, Harding, Northwestern Oklahoma State, Oklahoma Baptist, Southern Arkansas, Southern Nazarene, and Southwestern Oklahoma State.
All GAC Championship action will be broadcast live on the SESports YouTube page – www.youtube.com/@SEsportsHQ.
Eight teams will compete in the Rocket League bracket beginning at 10 a.m. in a single elimination bracket. Each match will be a best-of-five games. Southeastern is the top seed in this competition.
Also beginning at 10 a.m. will be the Super Smash Brothers bracket. This bracket will be finalized later this week.
The event will wrap up at approximately 2:30 p.m., when Southeastern and Southwestern Oklahoma State University will face off in the finals of the Overwatch bracket. The earlier stages of the bracket took place in online competition.
