SE CLOSED JAN 26-28

Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed through Wednesday, January 28, in the interest of health and safety of students, faculty, and staff with continuing winter weather conditions. Essential services will be provided to residential students on campus, but other academic and business functions will be closed. Online and remote learning classes will proceed as scheduled. This closure applies to the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. Other satellite facilities will follow local guidance.

Southeastern SGA hosts Oklahoma Student Advisory Council meeting

The Oklahoma Student Advisory Council (OSAC) met on the campus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University on April 4 & 5, 2025.

OSAC acts in an advisory capacity to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, and is constituted by the Student Government Executive members representing Oklahoma colleges and universities.

OSAC members discuss issues impacting Oklahoma collegians and make policy or process recommendations to the State Regents. During the two-day experience, student leaders discussed mental health resources, student housing, food insecurity, and campus safety. They were able to network with other student leaders and share best practice from their respective campuses.

The Southeastern Student Government Association acted as the host campus for OASC in Durant at the Glen D. Johnson Student Union. Eleven colleges and universities were attendance: Connors State College, Langston University, Murray State College, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, Oklahoma City Community College, Rogers State University, Rose State College, Seminole State College, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, the University of Central Oklahoma, and Western Oklahoma State College.
