- Fall 2025 graduates celebrated at commencement exercises
Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed through Wednesday, January 28, in the interest of health and safety of students, faculty, and staff with continuing winter weather conditions. Essential services will be provided to residential students on campus, but other academic and business functions will be closed. Online and remote learning classes will proceed as scheduled. This closure applies to the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. Other satellite facilities will follow local guidance.
The Fall 2024 graduating class of graduate and baccalaureate degree and certificate recipients was celebrated on Friday, December 12, and Saturday, December 13, in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
The fall 2024 graduating class is the largest fall graduating class in the university’s history, with 774 students graduating – 253 baccalaureate degree recipients and 521 graduate degree and certificate recipients. There are representatives from 41 states and territories, 12 countries, and 14 sovereign tribal nations. Within the graduating class, 298 graduates – over 38 percent – have indicated first-generation status, with 65 indicating legacy status – having a parent or grandparent who previously graduated from Southeastern.
