Blake Allen named Executive Director of Marketing and Communications

DURANT. Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State University has named Blake Allen executive director of marketing and communications. 

Allen transitions into the role after serving the past two years as associate athletic director for external operations at Southeastern, where he oversaw marketing, corporate partnerships, and game environment, among other areas.

He will lead the university’s communications and marketing efforts, overseeing university messaging, brand strategy, media relations, and digital content. In this role, he will work closely with academic and administrative units to promote Southeastern’s mission and elevate its visibility across the region and beyond. 

Allen brings nearly 15 years of experience in marketing and communications. In addition to his current role in athletics, he previously served as director of marketing at Southeastern. He also served as director of communications and marketing at East Central.

Outside of higher education, Allen worked for Choctaw Nation for nearly two years. He began as marketing manager and was later promoted to senior marketing manager, overseeing the development and execution of high-level marketing strategies and campaigns.

Allen earned a Bachelor of Arts in communication from Southeastern in 2011 and a Master of Education in sports administration from East Central in 2013.
