Southeastern announces Academic Affairs position appointments

DURANT, Okla. – Four individuals have been appointed to key positions in Academic Affairs at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
The appointments became effective Aug. 1.
Jeremy Rowland has been promoted to director of graduate studies. In this role, Rowland will serve as the lead for Graduate Studies to coordinate inter-and-departmental administrative functions, as well as coordinate with the university community, general public and others on a regional, national and international basis, to ensure effective customer relations.
Rowland, having previously served as graduate coordinator and administrative associate to the dean of Graduate Studies, will continue to serve as the coordinator in maintaining university compliance with the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) regulations.
Additionally:
- Dr. Cody Bogard has been named chair of the Department of Accounting and Finance. Bogard has been at the university since 2019, where he began as an adjunct professor in the Department of Behavioral Sciences. He joined the faculty in the John Massey School of Business the following year as assistant professor, and was later promoted to associate professor.
- Dr. Aaron Adair has been named director of the Honors Program. Adair first joined the Southeastern faculty in 2007 as assistant professor of theatre and currently serves as a professor of theatre and graduate coordinator for the program. As director of the Honors Program, Adair will work with faculty, staff and administration to build and develop the program, while promoting opportunities for Honors students to serve in university and community leadership roles.
- Dr. Kyle Lincoln has been promoted from coordinator of Study Abroad to director of Study Abroad as Southeastern continues to expand opportunities for students, faculty, alumni and community members. Lincoln joined Southeastern in 2022 as assistant professor of pre-modern European history and interdisciplinary humanities and now serves as associate professor.
