Southeastern to celebrate Homecoming Week October 19-24

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State University will host numerous events for students, alumni, and friends of the University for its annual Homecoming Week October 19-24, on the Durant campus.

Events earlier in the week will be geared toward students, while alumni events will take place Thursday through Saturday, culminating with the Savage Storm football game against Oklahoma Baptist at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24.

A central highlight of this year’s Homecoming celebration is the Heritage Game, during which Southeastern’s football team will wear commemorative helmet decals featuring historical logos to honor the university’s rich legacy and community. Planned in close collaboration with the Chickasaw Nation and the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, this heritage recognition ensures the tribute reflects deep respect and appreciation for the region’s diverse history. Serving as the final Homecoming game in the current stadium, this milestone offers a unique opportunity to celebrate past traditions and shared heritage while looking ahead to the institution’s future.
