- Southeastern to host Women In Entrepreneurship Conference
Southeastern Oklahoma State University, First United Bank and Choctaw Nation Small Business Development are partnering to host their annual Women in Entrepreneurship Conference on Thursday, Nov. 12, bringing together women in business and aspiring entrepreneurs for a morning of networking, professional development and practical insights into entrepreneurship.
The conference will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Massey Building, 200 W. Main St. in Durant, with networking and refreshments. Guest speakers will begin at 10 a.m.
The event will feature guest speaker Dr. Jen Bourgeois, a Forbes-featured keynote speaker and nationally recognized neurobiology expert. With 20 years of experience in healthcare and corporate leadership, Bourgeois blends neuroscience, somatic healing and psychology in her approach to leadership development. Her work has been featured in Forbes, Fox News, ABC News, Health and Yahoo, among other outlets.
The conference is designed to help women entrepreneurs and business leaders build connections, strengthen leadership skills and gain practical tools to grow their businesses. Whether launching a new venture, expanding an existing business or exploring new opportunities, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with local entrepreneurs and industry leaders.
The morning will also feature an interactive workshop, “Canva and AI Flyers – Conversations with Darian Johannsen and Kendall Katusak,” from Austin College’s Department of Marketing and Communications. Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop to fully engage in the workshop.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information and to register, visit se.edu/WIE.
