Biography

Sierra Downs is the program coordinator for the McNair Scholars Program at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Downs is responsible for connecting McNair Scholars to research opportunities, internships/fellowships/assistantships, and presentation opportunities at conferences; helping McNair Scholars develop skills to prepare for graduate admissions, graduate school, and potentially a doctoral program; and planning and coordinating events for the program including the Summer Research Institute, seminars, workshops, and mock interviews. Downs has been in her current position since January 2023.
