Constitution Day

Each year on September 17, we commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution—the foundation of our democracy and the rights we hold dear. To learn and experience more about our constitution, our Henry G. Bennett Memorial Library will be hosting a display in Henry’s, on the 1st floor. There will be handouts with resources and other fun visuals.
Also, what better way to honor this historic day than by exercising one of your most powerful rights as a citizen: your right to vote. As new students and community members join us from across the country here in Durant, we invite you to be part of this national tradition. Join us for a campus-wide Voter Registration Event on Tuesday, September 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Student Union Atrium.
Can’t make it on the 17th? No problem! SGA and Election Board representatives will also be available on Monday, September 16, during the same hours and location, to help you get registered. You may also pick up a voter registration packet in the Office of Student Affairs, Student Union 312, during business hours at any time.
This event is hosted in partnership with the Bryan County Election Board, the SE Student Government Association, the H.G. Bennett Library, and the Division of Student Affairs. They will be available to answer any questions you may have.
Stop By. Educate Yourself. Get Involved.
Register to vote this Constitution Day and learn more about your Nation!
