- Basketball great Crystal Robinson returns to campus for visit
With continued poor travel conditions and cold temperatures, Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed through Friday, January 30, in the interest of health and safety of students, faculty, and staff. Essential services will be provided to residential students on campus, but other academic and business functions will be closed. Online and remote learning classes will proceed as scheduled. This closure applies to the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. Other satellite facilities will follow local guidance.
Former Southeastern Oklahoma State University and WNBA basketball great Crystal Robinson was back on campus this week to visit with students and alumni.
She spoke to a number of student groups about leadership, and threw out the first pitch at the Southeastern-East Central softball game on Tuesday afternoon. Later, she visited with fans at a postgame tailgate party.
While on campus, Robinson signed copies of her new book, “Finding Myself.’’
Robinson is currently an assistant coach with the Phoenix Mercury of the WNBA.
