- High school student looking for college credit…
With continued poor travel conditions and cold temperatures, Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed through Friday, January 30, in the interest of health and safety of students, faculty, and staff. Essential services will be provided to residential students on campus, but other academic and business functions will be closed. Online and remote learning classes will proceed as scheduled. This closure applies to the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. Other satellite facilities will follow local guidance.
There are many ways a high school student may earn college credit, or extra-institutional credit, while still in high school.
The most common ways are through Concurrent Enrollment and AP testing. Concurrent Enrollment allows high school students to simultaneously earn high school and college credit for designated courses. Southeastern also awards credits on scale based on AP test scores. For specific information regarding earning or earned college credits reach out to the Admissions Office or your high school counselor.
